Hello Bill,

We already have an open wishlist item for that at https://bugs.launchpad.net/mahara/+bug/547690 where there is some more information about a couple of technologies that could be potential candidates to achieve an export to PDF.

I see problematic in a PDF export that you wouldn't be able to play audio or video and that if a user links to a file then that file would probably also not be available unless we can find a way to also make this part of the export. A solution would also need to be found for collection export.

So: A few moving pieces. ;-) If you want to get traction on this work and support its development, please get in touch with me and we can look into estimating the costs for you.

Sorry, no, we still haven't implemented the ability to export Mahara pages to PDF. (The bug https://bugs.launchpad.net/mahara/+bug/547690 is still in "Confirmed" status, rather than "Fix Committed" or "Fix Released")

While a PDF export doesn't exist (and the issues with it haven't been resolved), we do have a better HTML export in Mahara 15.10.1 (it doesn't look too basic anymore).

We implemented a print option in Mahara 17.04, which allows you to save your portfolio to PDF: http://manual.mahara.org/en/17.04/new.html#print-a-portfolio-page
