Hi all,

May sound daft - is there a way of allowing the e-portfolio's 'owner' to change theme themselves - ie pick their favourite colour scheme from a list of templates? Or can it only be one universal theme for everyone?

Hi Sam,

not yer. A view theme feature has been implemented at http://view-themes.dev.mahara.org/ where a user can select a theme for each view. Hopefully this feature will go ito version 1.2

Hi Alex, this is exactly my problem... after some searching this site I found your answer. I've been so used to be able to change themes in Moodle that I really think this is an important faeture also in MAHARA. The trouble is, we've just changed to the "fresh" theme with the black background which my students find pretty cool... only to find out that this created some problems wherever they had changed the font colour of their previous entries. It was alright for them to change the colours to adapt to the new theme but as there are lots of other users and groups on our platform , people might not like this change ... so hopefully in 1.2 it'll be possible then?

Nope, view themes have not made it into 1.2. There are 6 standard themes to choose from, but they apply to the entire site.
