Hello MUG community,

Pace University, along with CUNY, is organizing an AAEEBL regional ePortfolio conference. The call for papers is due on 2 December an the conference itself is on 2 and 3 March 2017. This is a great opportunity for you to engage with others in ePortfolio discussions. The Pace team is also thinking about holding a Mahara User Group meeting on 2 March before the conference starts.

Get your portfolio proposal in by the end of the week, 2 December 2016. If you have any questions, you can get in touch with Beth Gordon directly.

BTW, the conference is also very affordable: Just $25 and you'll be at a great location in downtown New York. The Pace campus is very centrally located to public transportation and heaps of sights.

AAEEBL is a co-sponsor of the Pace University/CUNY eportfolio conference
at Pace's Manhattan Conference on March 2-3.  Registration is only
$25.00, payable at the door on the day of the conference.  Below is a

Dear AAEEBL Friends,

November Greetings!  I’m pleased to share the Announcement and Call for
Proposals for the NY Regional ePortfolio Conference on March 2 and 3,
2017.  Information is available at

The conference will be held at Pace University’s downtown campus and
is co-sponsored by Pace, CUNY, and the Association for Authentic,
Experiential, and Evidence-Based Learning (AAEEBL).  
The deadline for proposal submissions is December 2.  Proposal
submission information can be found on the website

The conference theme is *“Re-bundling Higher Education: High Impact
ePortfolio Practice and the New Digital Ecosystem,”* asking us to
explore the role ePortfolio practice can play in the fast changing
higher ed environment.  Suggested topics include digital badging,
integrative social ePortfolio pedagogy, professional development,
advisement, peer learning, authentic assessment, analytics and more. This is an excellent opportunity to share your classroom, departmental,
or divisional practices with colleagues across the region while learning
from others now exploring ways that ePortfolio supports student,
faculty, and institutional learning.

It would be great to see a strong Connect to Learning/Making Connections
presence at the conference -- a chance to reconnect and see how our work
has evolved in the past two years.  We would of course welcome
participants from outside the NY region as well.  We encourage you to
submit proposals individually or as co-presenters; presentations that
include students and student panels are highly-encouraged by conference
organizers.  
Please note that registration fees were kept extraordinarily low —$25
for faculty and staff (payable at the door) and free for students—so we
hope you will take advantage of the opportunity to register and attend,
even if you do not make a presentation.  Thank you for considering, and
