Hello,

We've been using the primary theme for some of our information group pages as students said it was easier to read than other core themes. When our site upgraded to 16.04 we noticed a few changes (perhaps they had been there earlier but nobody noticed until the upgrade). We couldn't figure out how the colour blocks were determined - it seemed pretty random which colour appeared when you added a new block, and different block icons displayed depending on whether a block was a textbox or a note, which confused people as they didn't see any visible difference in content. Before I start tweaking the theme code I wondered if there was a development document that could be used as a reference?

Hello Gordon,

We don't have a guide for the primary school theme. Our designer said that the color is based on the column and what number in the column the block is. This is so that not all the first blocks get the same color. Currently, the color selection is not specific to the type of block.
