hi

I am often having to delete spam which is posted as comments on this image http://m2.warwicklanguage.org.uk/mahara/artefact/artefact.php?view=1504&artefact=18946 how can I prevent this?

Here are two options:

1. Disable comments on that particular picture: http://manual.mahara.org/en/15.10/content/files.html#edit-a-file-or-folder

2. Disable anonymous comments throughout your site: http://manual.mahara.org/en/15.10/administration/config_site.html?highlight=anonymous#anonymous-feedback

Hello Teresa,

We've also seen an increased number of spam comments on pages and artefacts on mahara.org. We've disabled them all directly via the database (comments are not deleted but just set to deleted) as there were so many and disabled anonymous comments for the time being until a more sustainable solution can be found. We discovered that comments by anonymous users don't always respect the moderation queue (esp. on artefacts).
