Currently, we have have Mahara 1.5.3 integrated with Moodle 1.9.  it works wonderfully for us.

We are currently piloting Moodle 2.4.2 as we prepare to migrate our users to Moodle 2.  In order to have a Mahara ePortfolio assignment, do you have to enable the Assignment 2.2 assignment type?  We would prefer not to enable this assignment type if possible, since faculty frequently select one type of assignment, but then want the features of another.  The new generic assignment in Moodle is less confusing for users.

The Mahara assignment type is currently only available for Assignment 2.2 in Moodle 2.3+. Please see https://mahara.org/interaction/forum/topic.php?id=5266 for some more information.

Mary-Beth,

I remember reading that someone had renamed the 2.2 Assignment to Mahara Assignment (I think in the Moodle language strings) as a way to avoid confusion between the 2 as that's all they use the 2.2 Assignment for.

Quite a good idea I thought.
