How do I search this forum?

Currently our forum search functionality is pretty lousy (but we're about to start work on a project to improve it! https://wiki.mahara.org/index.php/Developer_Area/Specifications_in_Development/Search_2.0 ).

I think the best way currently is to use Google and add "site:mahara.org" to your search terms, like this: https://www.google.co.nz/search?q=site%3Amahara.org+search+forum . Of course this will search the whole site including the wiki and manuals, not just the forum.

Hello Simon,

You can also use the search box at the top of the page. It uses DuckDuckGo to search the site. However, as with the GoogleSearch we had earlier for mahara.org, it is limited in how many links it can follow. Thus, forum posts that are older and only accessible by clicking on the paginator a few times will most likely not show up.

I'm looking forward to the fulltext search as well that Aaron mentioned.
