When we try to do a fresh install from git or from download newest version we can't at all proceed.

Mahara: Site Unavailable

A nonrecoverable error occurred. This probably means you have encountered a bug in the system

We tried also to do an upgrade to 1.6 or 1.7dev but again the upgrade is not running to the end and fails and when we call the site again we receive also the above error.

I hope someone can point us to the right direction to get Mahara installed NEW and in a second instalation Mahara upgraded to the newest Version from 1.2

Thanks

Andi

You can see the same error also via Google Search - and it points actually to the mahara.org site itself!!!

https://mahara.org/user/onmountain

to name some

It looks as if the installation on mahara.org has the same symptoms!

Hello Andi,

Thanks for pointing this error out on mahara.org. We'll investigate what might be causing this. One possibility is that something went wrong during the upgrade from 1.2 to 1.7dev as you'll have to do the upgrades incremendtally from one version to the next without skipping any.

You might find some useful info at https://mahara.org/interaction/forum/topic.php?id=5268

Cheers

Kristina
