HI,

If we have Mahara set up for our school community, is there a way for teachers/ students to search ALL tags for generic areas of interest that may have been TAGGED in views/ artefacts/ files etc?

For instance, if my colleagues had attended a conference of 'boys education' and had tagged that in their report contained in a view - could I then search for that on our mahara network?

Any advice warmly appreciated....

Hello Glenn,

The tag search currently only works on an individual level. Another user cannot search my tags or the tags of an entire institution.

The feature of a tag search was discussed in http://mahara.org/interaction/forum/topic.php?id=843.

The tag search as it is implemented right now was paid for by the Unviersity of Luxembourg and as we had a number of feature requests to consider, we decided to go for the individual tags first and add more functionality to the feedback instead of focusing solely on tags.
