Mahara 25.04 release is public

Kia ora,
We are happy to announce the release of Mahara 25.04, which we released today, 30 April 2025.
Highlights in Mahara 25.04 include:
- Enhancements to the CPD functionality
- Adjust the 'Peer assessment' block into a (peer or self) 'Assessment' block
- Make outcomes portfolios copyable
- Combine 'Image' and 'Image gallery' blocks
- Extra grading option for portfolio submissions
- Escalate issue reports
- Change to Material icons
- Custom maintenance message
- Unlock and lock portfolios as administrator
- Optionally change the legal consent acceptance behaviour
- CLI script to allow the adding / updating of email address from command line
- Bulk update authentication via a CLI script

The Mahara manual is in the process of being updated with these and other new features as well as changed functionality.
The code for Mahara 25.04 is available to subscribers in our repository, both in Git and as downloadable package.
Supported releases
Mahara 24.04 is still supported for security updates. Support for Mahara 24.04 will end in October 2025. Mahara 25.04 will receive updates until October 2026.
