Missing Content in Exported Mahara Portfolio (index.html)

Hello,

When exporting a portfolio from Mahara and opening the generated index.html file in a browser, only the page header is displayed. The actual portfolio content (text, blocks, media) is missing.
The exported ZIP file appears complete and correct at first glance – it includes all expected files and folders.

Do you have any idea what might be causing the issue?  Thank you for your help!

Eni

Hi Enikö,

Thanks for your post!

You are opening index.html after extracting the ZIP contents into a folder, right?

Also, what version of Mahara is this issue happening on?

Best,

Doris

Hi Eni,

Is it possible for you to share the entire export Zip file with me or does it contain confidential information?

Thanks

Kristina

Hi Kristina,

Thank you very much for your reply.

I’ve sent you the file directly via email.

The portfolio is a sample portfolio with fictional content.

Thank you again for your help and support!

Eni

Hi Eni,

Thank you for having sent the file. It seems that the HTML export was not generated properly. When I import the portfolio into my Mahara site and then export it and view the HTML pages, I can see the content on them. The content is also in the source code. Just not displayed.

When I view your page in my code editor, it is much shorter than the exported page from my instance of Mahara.

Therefore, I would check if your code on the server matches what we have published. Currently, it's Mahara 24.04.9, but very soon it'll be Mahara 24.04.10.

You can find the best practice steps for upgrading a site on our wiki.

Thank you

Kristina
