We block submitted portfolios but the comments area is still active. Is there a setting to disable comments on portfolios submitted to Moodle?

Hi Richard,

There is no built-in functionality to disable comments on portfolios that are submitted to Moodle. We are leveraging the Mahara submission to group functionality for that where instructors are asked to make comments on pages and individual artefacts.

In some cases it might still be good to leave comments on artefacts besides overall feedback in Moodle.

Next question.

Is there a configuration setting to make blocked portfolios submitted to Moodle be visible in the My portfolios section of each student in Mahara? i.e. adjust access permissions in Mahara so that submitted portfolios are listed on the student dashboard.

As things stand at the moment in our case students can view their submitted portfolio in Mahara if they know the URL, but that URL is only available to them in the Moodle Assignment dialogue.

Hi Richard,

You can see submitted portfolios on the portfolios overview page by putting a check mark into the check box 'Show submitted portfolios' and then clicking 'Search'. In 25.04 you won't need to press the button and it'll change directly. The selection is 'sticky' though, meaning that you need to uncheck to not show them any more.
