Podcast episode 54: Cathy Elliott
02 October 2024, 9:13
It was great catching up with Professor Dr Cathy Elliott from University College London (UCL) a few weeks ago right after her summer holidays and talk about the upcoming academic year and her portfolio use, but also what has happened since we talked last May. You may remember that she had only just finished her first year of teaching with a portfolio. Since then more colleagues have started exploring the idea of implementing portfolios, started using them, and in the case of Geography, doing a re-design of the first-year experience at UCL.
Speak about taking off like a rocket! 🚀 The title for Cathy's episode says it all:
- Have fun implementing portfolios, which she's definitely having as you can hear in the episode
- Be flexible in how you assess students and how they can provide their learning evidence and reflections
- Encourage feedback from peers

Thank you
