Hi community!

First of all, I would like to point out the instruction at the top of this forum re: reporting a bug isn't accurate anymore, as the bug tracker was moved from Launchpad to the private Mahara Git instance. It may be helpful to have at least access to the bug tracker area of this Git instance, or have clearer instructions on how to report bugs encountered in Mahara.

The bug I encountered, is the following: When adding a 'Your plans' block to a portfolio page and saving changes, the page freezes in such a fashion that the only option to return to the page, is to refresh/reload it. If you do so, and the page returns to it's edit mode (../view/blocks.php?id...), a nonrecoverable error AKA bug occurs. In view mode, the page can still be opened, but the Details and Edit mode are broken. Details mode doesn't function, and Edit mode returns a 'nonrecoverabe error' message.

I was able to reproduce this on demo.mahara.org as well.

Was this bug found during QA testing prior to release? And can it be easily fixed?

Hi Joost,

Thank you for letting us know that the forum description hadn't been updated yet. I've made the changes now. The issue tracker is only available to subscriber representatives as it's tied to the repository. We are working on a way to report issues directly from within a Mahara instance that doesn't require a login to the portal. If your organisation is a subscriber, but you are not a nominated representative, please ask the person responsible for your Mahara subscription to send an email to [email protected] and we can add you.

As for the issue with the plan, which version of Mahara are you using?

Thank you for your reply. We'll report the issue to our service provider then, but in the mean time: we're running 24.04.1. I was also able to reproduce the issue on the Mahara demo site here, btw.

Hi Joost,

Can you please provide steps to reproduce the issue? I couldn't logged in as 'student' on our Mahara demo site. My steps were:

1. Log in as 'student'.
2. Create a page.
3. Add the 'Plans' block and select one of the plans that are in the account. Save the block.
4. View the page.

With a bit of help from our hosting provider, we were able to solve the issue. Something went wrong in the Dutch language pack, where an old language string translation had an incorrect placeholder in it, '%$' instead of '%s'. The $ in the string broke a few things.

I corrected the string in question in the trunk langpack for Dutch and that should resolve any issues related to this.
