I need help in how to automatically group users as they login to Mahara through Olat, how can i do this?There are many groups and we also have different roles (tutors, admin, learner) Please help. Thank you

Hi Roselyne,

Theoretically, LTI 1.3 Advantage will allow you to give people logging in via the LMS a role in a Mahara group based on their role in a course in the LMS. We have not yet tested how to set up LTI 1.3 Advantage with OLAT as we are not familiar with OLAT. It would be great if you gave it a go.

So far, the role would only be in the context of a Mahara group, but not across the entire site. If you want to set roles across an entire site, you may wish to look into doing that via single sign-on (through SAML or a SAML bridge) because the built-in SAML plugin has great flexibility around selecting a role from the IdP and then assigning that to an account in Mahara.
