Hi

Some of our students have been reporting layout issues with their Mahara pages. When we investigated we found that all their text boxes had reformatted themselves to the left, which in most cases we could not view their information. 

We carried out a test with a Mahara page with accessing through an iPhone, which the page did not respond very well. Then, we accessed the page through a laptop and low and behold it also did the same formatting with all text boxes to the left, as shown within the screenshot above.

We are currently using 21.04.1 version of Mahara, but will be upgrading to 22.04 at the end of this month.

Hi Ali,

We fixed the mobile layout issue in a minor point release. Once you have the patch (or the latest minor point release) installed, you can then craft a database query to update existing pages where the column width is 1 to make them bigger without students needing to do that manually for each page.

On another note - Could we use this image within our Moodle staff help guidance course area? Cery cool. it is from your Catalyst Website (https://www.catalyst.net.nz/mahara) Do you have any other Mahara related images we could use?

Hi Ali,

You are welcome to use the Mahara characters in your documentation. You can find the individual ones in a presentation I did a few years ago if you want to use them separately. There is also the full image with all the characters, though I think Evonne may be updating that in due course to match the new design as we went away from using the diamonds at the beginning of the month.
