Hi,

im new to mahara and I’ve just performed a new installation on an azure Linux container.

I’ve managed to get the app installed but when I try to logon I get the following:

Mahara: site unavailable

logged out user can not be stored in usr_session

another issue I’m having is when trying to browse via https, mahara seems to try and redirect me to port 8080?

any help would be appreciated.

Hi Andrew,

Did you follow the installation guide and made sure that your directories have the correct permissions set? As for the https issue, it sounds like you may want to check your .conf settings and ensure that you set up OpenSSL correctly. A sample configuration is available.

Cheers

Kristina

Hi Kristina,

thanks for the reply.

yes i followed the instructions. i double checked and did a chmod 777 -R into the maharadata directory. I still get the same error.

On the SSL redirection, its setup by default in the apache configuration on the azure web service.  There's nothing in the conf file for port 8080. its weird as now it appears to be somewhat working but when i try to access using https i get failures on mixmatched content.

when i set the base url to https in the config.php file it get a too many redirects error.
