We don't have any smpt configured. We’ve always worked that way.
In the first part of the error_log, we have this error_message:
Failed to get a recordset: mysqli error: [1064: You have an error in your SQL syntax; check the manual that corresponds to your MySQL server version for the right syntax to use near '?' at line 1] in EXECUTE("SELECT "username" FROM "usr" WHERE "id" = ? ")Command was: SELECT "username" FROM "usr" WHERE "id" = ? , referer: https://portafolis.uvic.cat/register.php

For whomever who answers this in case it is relevant: This is on Centos 6.
Joan: Which version of MySQL do you use?
Thanks
Kristina

Hi Joan,
Did you make any changes to the registration process / code? We can't see any issues in the code that comes from Mahara core, and we have that code in use on a regular basis.
Thanks
Kristina

Hi Joan,
We are out of ideas of things for you to try with the information you provided. Someone would need to take a look at your setup.
Thanks
Kristina
