Hi all!

Is it possible to do the following in 18.10 or later:

We want to be able to add existing users to a new institution through uploading a CSV file. These users are already members of the MNet linked 'moodle' institution, but should also become a member of their 'Academy' institution.

Issue is that we have over 5000 users in the Mahara instance. This means an institution admin can't just go and search for the users in the 'Add members' page, select them and add them.

I've tried to upload a CSV with existing users to a new institution, but I can't seem to find a setting with which to get this working.

Hi Joost,

I can't think of a way of doing that in Mahara other than via Admin menu -> Institutions -> Add members and then searching for them or doing a database update.

If you need to adhere to the GDPR you can't have a person in multiple institutions yet as strict privacy requires that people are only members in one institution. Expanding that to allow people again to be in multiple institutions is a possibility, but we haven't yet looked into that.
