Just setting up the mobile app and keep getting this message:

"The Mahara server doesn't have webservice set up"

Except that I have set up the webservice API!

Mahara 17.04.4 

Android 6.01

Reinstalled App and have cleared caches on Mahara. Have also tried manual tokens.

Any pointers to other things I can check?

Hi Roger,

A bunch of questions for you. :-)

  1. Do you have the latest version of Mahara Mobile, i.e. 1.4.1?
  2. Also, did you set up the web services manually or via Extensions -> Plugin administration -> mobileapi? If yes, can you please re-trigger the setup (unless you've done that already), i.e. deactivate web services on the "Web services" page and then go to extensions to activate it. If no, please go through the automatic setup on the mobileapi page.
  3. Do you use LDAP on your site?
  4. Can you connect to the demo site https://demo.mahara.org ?

BUT I think what it might most likely be is that your site is not on https. Web services only work on sites with an SSL certificate. They do work on test sites when you have productionmode = false in your config file, but not on production sites.

It was an https issue - will have to wait until the servers are updated to resolve.
