Hi,

if I am creating an user Mahara sends an email to him.

But Mahare using my account address instead of the system adresse like in site option defined. In this way my mailserver says:  <mymail>: Sender address rejected: not owned by user systemmailaddress; from=<mymail> to=<testmail> proto=ESMTP helo=<mydomain>

How can I change it that all emails are send by maharas system mail address?

Hi Florian,

The account creation message is one of the very few messages that use the admin's email address as sender address. I can't tell you why that is when the majority of the other messages uses the system messages. The only thing I can think of is that this way the user has the possibility to reply to the admin if they have any questions since they don't yet have an account in the system.

My problem is that my server do only send mails from accounts which are authentificated by SMTP.  Is there any way to change it what Mahara is doing here?
