Why version 17.04.3testing by installation?

I am installing Mahara.
Why is there the word testing in version?

I have installed mahara by git origin/17.04_STABLE

Der stable zeigt (komischerweise) auf die alleraktuellste Version. Ich versteh das auch nicht, aber habe mittlerweile herausgefunden, dass man die genau Version auschecken muss.
als stand heute:
git checkout 17.04.2_RELEASE
denn 17.04.3 ist noch nicht fertig (warum das unter Stable läuft, ist mir nicht klar)

Hello Florian and Andreas,
Each release has its own branch: 16.04_STABLE, 17.04_STABLE etc. If you just pull the branch, you get the latest commits, i.e. also those that haven't been released yet to a minor version. As Andreas mentioned, if you want to pull what has been released, you'll need to pull the specific minor point release tag.
