I could upload a file with the filename that you provided without problems on http://demo.mahara.org which is on Mahara 16.10.1. Can you please give it a go there yourself? Maybe we don't need the patch?

Hello Kristina,

Yesterday I download the Mahara 16.10.1 version and install in the Eszterhazy Karoly College’s server (Hungary) other website.
The install was successfull, but the accent first character disappear again if I upload a file in the Files are.
If I making a changes, that I posted earlier, the system show the complete file name.
Perhaps this changes just help for me, you don't making changes the original Mahara code.
Notice it's interesting, that if I testing the original Mahara 16.10.1 version in my XAMPP localhost and in this Mahara (home/content/files area) a system show the accent first character.
