Hi,

I was wondering what exactly is the "post by" date for a journal entry?  Is it the date the journal entry was started?  If an entry is saved as "draft", and then modified, does the date change?  Is is the date and time the journal entry is "published"?  What if the status changes from published, to draft, back to published?

My student is writing a journal entry for a book report.  The original entry may be started when they start reading the book (image of the book cover, author, etc.), but it will be finished and later edited at a late date and time.  So which date and time gets displayed on their journal page?  Is it the modified date and time or the original posting date and time?  Or the date and time the journal entry is published?

I don't see anything in the journal about modified date and time, if this value is even stored in the database.

Thanks,

Melissa

Hello Melissa,

The "Posted by" date is the date that the journal entry was first saved, no matter whether as draft or not.

Cheers

Kristina
