Hi, I've been trawling the manual but can't come across any reference to a default setting for "Messages from other users".

I know that users can change this in their Settings but I wondered if a site administrator could set this to one of the options as default?

I could have sworn our default used to be 'allow friends' but this seems to have changed - am I imagining it?

Hello Marion,

You can only change the default settings for new users when you add users manually or via CSV file under the "General account options" expandable section on the "Add user" and "Add users by CSV" pages.
