I'm trying to make our home not-logged-in page (https://mahara.earlham.edu/) look more attractive to reflect the activity on our site. I'd like to have user public Pages displayed here if possible to show how much it's being used and encourage students to sign in. However, I can't find a way of doing this this and the manual is opaque on how to customize the front page for non-logged in visitors.

Cheers

Mark

Hello Mark,

Currently, you can only customize the static page part of the logged-out homepage under Administration -> Configure site -> Static pages. It is not possible to put any blocks there by default like you can on the dashboard (logged-in).

I would definitely be great to have the functionality to display certain pages for not logged-in users. The University of the Arts London have a great way of displaying student pages: http://workflow.arts.ac.uk/ I think this could be something to propose for Mahara core. If you want to know more about and see if you could get the code, Mike Kelly developed it.

Cheers

Kristina
