Sherbrooke University in Québec Canada is now setting up a ePortfolio using Mahara.  In our installation, we have decided to name our environment "monPortfolio" a French equivalent name of "myPortfolio".  We use this logo on the header part of our Mahara environment.

We also want to keep a visible reference to Mahara in our environment.  We want to use a Mahara logo on the footer standard part.

In the Mahara organisation Web site, we can view the "powered by Mahara" gray logo at the bottom of pages (letf side of "Terms and conditions - Privacy statement - Contact us).   We want to use this logo.   Because it is more diplomatic to use French in our environment, we would like to change a bit this logo.   Could we translate the “powered by” by “propulsé par”?  Or, could we just remove the “powered by” part?  What is “legal” to do with this Mahara logo?

Welcome to the Mahara community. Sorry that we haven't replied to your post yet. The last weeks leading up to the 1.10 release were rather busy.

You are welcome to translate the "Powered by" into French (and also change the font of "powered by" if you like). Or you can remove the "Powered by" entirely. Having an indicator like "powered by" does help to know why the Mahara logo is there.

Did you know that there is a Canadian Mahara group here on Mahara.org? https://mahara.org/group/mahara-user-group-canada There haven't been too many discussions lately, but it could be revived. :-)
