Filename changes on import

Hi

We are experiencing an interesting problem. We have recently merged with another college and have installed a new instance of Mahara. Staff and students have asked to have their resources on the old installation moved to the new. We have carried this out by exporting from one system and importing to the other using LEAP2A. Everything seems to go through ok without any errors. All files, pages, journals are in place and where they should be. However, when the user tries to open a file from the new installation they are unable to because a hyphen gets added to the file extension, thus text.doc becomes text.doc-. Has anyone come across this before and if so was there a fix for it, before I have to go into hundreds of portfolios and physically recreate all the files and links?

Thank you

Kevin

Hi Kevin,

That is odd. I haven't seen this problem. Do you experience this problem still with a Leap2A file from another instance, e.g. demo.mahara.org?

Cheers

Kristina
