Hello Maharans!

The Mahara minor release 1.8.2 has just been released, on 3 April 2014: https://launchpad.net/mahara/+milestone/1.8.2

This release contains a major security patch relating to suspended user accounts, as well as fixing several minor non-security bugs. For the full list of fixed bugs see the release notes on Launchpad.

There are also updates for the Mahara 1.6 and 1.7 series:

All users of Mahara 1.6, 1.7, and 1.8 are strongly recommended to upgrade to the latest minor release version.
