Hello,

I have one question to the rights for the role institution administrator: is an institution administrator - who is not a site admin - able to create a sso login for example with a moodle site?

Thank you for your help,

Michael

Hello Michael,

As stated in the user manual (http://manual.mahara.org/en/1.7/administration/institutions.html#edit-an-institution) "Only site administrators can add, edit and delete authentication methods for an institution and suspend it."

Hello dajan,

thanks for your answer. I thought there is an opportunity for a site admin to set the rights for an institution admin like in moodle with the capabilites, to edit an institution e.g.

I come from the moodle world, thats why. ;-)

Thanks a lot,

michael

Hello Michael,

Mahara does not have the big capabilities screen that Moodle has. We pretty much know site admin, institution admin, staff and user at the moment, and there is no way of extending or diminishing someone's permissions within each role.

Cheers

Kristina
