Hm, perhaps the code that checks for that data is looking at some other variable than $user. I don't actually have a server set up with the Mahara Moodle plugin at the moment to test it out on, so I was just making an educated guess based on my reading of the code. Sorry it didn't work.

Feel free to sign or not sign your forum posts however you'd like. "Cheers" is just what people tend to put on the end of emails and such, here in New Zealand. It's kind of a habit for me, although admittedly it doesn't make as much sense in a forum, where you can see my name right off to the side of my post.
