Would it be possible to enhance the Search feature?

Files: Search function directly in the top menu - available all the time; searchfor allowed for files: name, tags, description and comments?

People: Search function directly in the top menu -  available all the time; search for allowed for people: all fields in Profile plus Europass fields?

Pages: Search function directly in the top menu - available all the time; search for allowed for pages: name, description, tags, comments?

Forums: Search function directly in the top menu - available all the time; search for allowed for forums: name, description, topics, replies?

And with a good filter in Advanced Search.

Cannot see there is this functionality yet as default? Anyone who has tweaked a solution?

Hello Jonas,

Did you see the specs at https://wiki.mahara.org/index.php/Developer_Area/Specifications_in_Development/Search_2.0 ? We are planning to start on a good chunk of this implementation soon to bring fulltext search to Mahara.

How do you envisage "search function directly in the top menu"? Could you please make a mockup of what you think would be good?
