Am I right in thinking the only way to share a Journal in order to get others to comment on it is to add the Journal to a Portfolio Page and share the page? i.e. You cannot share the journal alone in its own right. Thanks for any help.

Hi Tricia,

I believe that is correct, yes. Pages manage the sharing of content.

You can make a page with the one-column full-width layout, and put a "Journal" block on it. That's essentially sharing it alone. Then the journal can be shared like any page.

Cheers,
Melissa

Hello Tricia,

This is definitely the only way of sharing a journal (entry). A journal or journal entry in Mahara is an artefact like a file, plan, resume information etc. Everything that is considered an artefact lives in the tab "Content". You can only share artefacts by placing them into pages. Access permissions are based on pages and not individual artefacts. Thus, as Melissa said, you'll need to put your journal into a page in order to share it. If you want to get a RSS feed for your journal, you would make your page publicly accessible.

Cheers

Kristina
