Can we create one collection to hold our 7-page template across all institutions in Mahara 1.5 so that when an account is created and the user is put in that institution, they automatically get that collection?

Hi Samantha,

The only way to add pages into a user's portfolio is via Institutions, but unfortunately, Insititutions do not yet have collections.

You can share the pages individually like this, however, as per http://manual.mahara.org/en/1.5_STABLE/site_admin/institutions.html#share-institution-pages

Thanks,
Melissa

Hi Sam,

So, you either upgrade your customization or wait until 1.6 when institutions should have collections. We are working on that for the NZ Ministry of Education who's sponsoring that feature for MyPortfolio.school.nz and it will go into core Mahara. Smile

Hi Kristina,

Coud you add this into the the blueprint? This is an interesting feature. I use the blueprint to answer questions after my talks on Mahara, about "missing" features people question about.

Cheers,

Also, has blueprints replaced wishlist? Where does roadmap fit into this? Whats a efficient way to look at what is coming in future?

Thanks

Hello dajan and Dirk,

Sorry for not having updated the blueprints with the work we are doing for the NZ Ministry of Education. Will add the things hopefully later today). A few small things have already been tagged "Newfeature1.6" in Launchpad on the tracker.

Dirk: Blueprints are an easier overview to check what specifications are actually in development or what parts have already been started etc. They usually link back to "Specifications in Development" which are feature proposals that are usully for larger features that need more specifications than just a wishlist item on the bug tracker.

The roadmap on the wiki is not updated anymore as it has not really existed in such a form anymore for quite some time and we now link to the blueprints for any updates. Please refer to the developer meeting notes from April 2012 for the discussion on that.

Cheers

Kristina
