Hi all,

I already updated Mahara 1.4.0 to new version 1.4.2. I've succesfully done update but I get many error to my message, it's said

User notification error was probably caused by your server configuration.

I've done setup cron to my crontab, example:  * * * * * wget -q -O /dev/null http://my.mahara.com/lib/cron.php

But my site information still cron is not running. Why?

Dear Syed,

I have a same issue with the cron in the past on a test server. Everything was set up correctly but Mahara was still saying the the cron is not running.

After a couple of days, suddenly the cron was reporting working. In fact it was working before because mails were sent.

So my advice is to wait for a few hours more and report again here if your cron is still not working. But it may work in the meantime.

Dear Jan,

Thank for reply...I've checked again to my config table in database, i just remove lock file  (_cron_lock_core_activity_process_queue) and my cron it's works...=)

Hello Syed,

Great to read that your cron works fully now. The message "Cron is not running" is misleading as it can also mean that only certain cron activities aren't running. This string will be fixed as per https://bugs.launchpad.net/mahara/+bug/987115 and there's a resulting wishlist item to state which cron activities don't work properly.
