Hi,

I am a developer and I  am currently customising mahara for the University of Reunion Island. 

I would like change or modify the WYSIWYG editor used for fields like "Introduction", ...

The main goal is to allow students to add images more easily, because they have some trouble with the "url" thing.

Could someone please give me some advice?

Hello Emilie,

Great to have another developer working on Mahara.

We use TinyMCE as WYSIWYG editor. You could check its web site and see if there is an extension / plugin that would already provide you with that functionality. If that is something that could / should be included in core Mahara, please let us know.

Also: Mahara 1.5 is currently still in Release Candidate state. If you want to give it a test run, please do so. We'll release Mahara 1.5RC2 very soon (probably even still today - a notice will pop up in the news forum).
