Hi,

i've tried to use the blocktype "internal media" for mp3. But it doesn't work :-(

It also doesn't work in the demo
http://demo.mahara.org/

Could anybody help?

Hi Thomas,

Have you tried with several mp3 files? I had no trouble listening to one of mine on demo.mahara.org. It might depend on how you created it or whether there  were strange characters in the title.

Hi Kristina,

where is my mistake?
Please take a look at my screenshots.

1. click on "Portfolio" -> click on "Create Page"
2. click on "Files, images and video"
3. drag & drop "Emedded Media"
4. search the file an click "Upload"
5. response :-( No upload
6. I take a look in "Content" -> "Files" there it is. But not avaible in configuration embedded media

Hello Thomas,

Did you check that you allowed mp3 file to be loaded?

You will find the option in the Admin->Plugins->file/internalmedia->config

Hello Thomas and dajan,

From the screenshots it looks like you used demo.mahara.org. The upload of mp3 files is allowed there.

The only thing I can think of is that I have a look at your file. Can you please send it to me at [email protected]?

Hello Thomas,

I can upload the 2.5 MB file without problems to demo.mahara.org and have it play. The other file is too large to be uploaded. I think the problem of not displaying an error when the upload failed is solved in Mahara 1.5.

On a local install, the larger file uploaded without problems, too.

Now it would be over to a developer who might know if you are missing an extension on your server that wouldn't recognize the file type.

Hello Thomas,

Thanks for the video. I cannot see anything that you did wrong. However, it seems to be a different file from the one you sent me. The one I have of symphony is 11 MB large. Could you please send me the one you actually uploaded to the demo site?
