Has anyone tried installing via Softaculous?
28 December 2011, 12:55
Hello,
We received a notice from Softaculous, an auto installer, saying that they now also have Mahara in their library. From their web site: "Softaculous is an auto installer for cPanel and DirectAdmin. Unlike other auto installers Softaculous is much faster, well designed and it installs all scripts in just ONE STEP."
Has anyone tried such an easy installer? Would you be willing to try it and write a review?

Yes. I tried it after I listened to you at 2012 imoot. Softaculous placed Mahara into the wrong folders. Then I couldn't access it.
I'll keep trying. I'm anxious to use the imoot handout.
No problem until the end of July when my classes begin. Great program at imoot and you were particularly good.

I'll post again when I have more information. I remember a few months ago when I upgraded Moodle I had issues with a script upgrade. I believe that tech support may have moved my files to a different server. I'll know in a few days.

Hello Roger,
Thank you for coming along to the iMoot session.
I hope Softaculous can correct the problem so you can try to install Mahara through their service again.
Cheers
