Call for articles for 4th Mahara Newsletter
18 November 2011, 2:25
Hello,
The 4th Mahara Newsletter will be published on December 1, 2011. We would like to hear from you what you are doing with Mahara.
I would like to invite everybody to submit a short story / article / announcement about:
- your portfolio use (at your institution)
- example portfolios
- tips, tricks
- plugin development
- other development activities you are involved in
- groups you are organizing
- upcoming conferences / events on Mahara
- recap of a conference / user group meeting
- ...
The contribution
It will be best if your text is up to 150 words long. Ideally, this will be a summary or the first paragraph of a blog post / announcement etc. that is available elsewhere online so that a longer text can be linked. If your text is only about 150 words long and does not include a link to a longer text, that is fine as well.
It can be a previously published text as long that is OK with the original source.
You can submit your text in a language other than English. However, it will have to be accompanied by an English summary so that those who don't speak your language can get the gist of it.
The deadline
Please send your contributions to [email protected] latest on November 27, 2011, at 12 p.m. your local time.
The license
B submitting a contribution to the newsletter, you agree that the text which appears in the newsletter will be published under Creative Commons BY-SA.
The fine print
We reserve the right not to publish every submitted story in the Mahara Newsletter. We also reserve the right to use a story in a later newsletter instead of the current one. Authors will be informed about these decisions.
Furthermore, we may make minor editorial changes or correct spelling mistakes.
To establish the identity of the authors, their names can be linked to one of the following:
- their Mahara profile page
- their personal blog / homepage
- their Identi.ca, LinkedIn, Twitter etc. page
Please advice, which link should be used. If there is no preference, it will be up to the editor to decide.
I am looking forward to receiving your submissions.
Cheers
Kristina
