Is there a way to turn off the Display name so students cannot use an alias. My Senior leadership team only want to see the student's proper names.

Figured it out. Its in the Instution settings. There is a page to lock the Display name.

Hello Steve,

Thanks for finding the solution and posting it for others to read. You can lock a number of fields- not just the display name - in the institution settings thus preventing users to change them, e.g. when you are in an educational setting.
