Hi Is there a way of setting multiple blogs by default, rather than learners having to check this option in the settings area?

Thanks

Kevin

A search for 'multiple journals' reveals that your question was answered a while ago here http://mahara.org/interaction/forum/topic.php?id=3845

Hello Kevin,

Right now you'll have to go the backend way, but in Mahara 1.5 you will be able to change that setting and others when you create the accounts in the admin interface.

cf. https://wiki.mahara.org/index.php/Developer_Area/Specifications_in_Development/More_flexible_use_of_profile_information_proposal_2

Cheers

Hello!

May I ask for some support as I could not find a thread about the following problem:

We upgraded mahara 1.4 to 1.5 in August 2012.
Thereafter the profile setting checkbox "multiple blogs" disappeared.

We couldn't find the according administrator settings.

Thank you for any help.

Michael

Hello Michael,

This setting disappears when more than one journal have been created by a user. And the term blog has bee replaced by "Journal" from 1.5 onward. So check if your user has more than one journal if so, you can delete all posts and the journals themselves. When you have again only one journal you will see the option again in the user's preferences.
