Hello,

This question was raised in the German community (translation à la Kristina):

I haven't been working for a long time with Mahara yet and thus don't have much experience with it.

While testing Mahara, we came across a problem under Linux (Mahara 1.4): Inserting images in forum and blog posts does not work. The image is shown in the editor and also in the HTML view but not in the post iteself. What could be the problem? Is it a configuration issue?

It works fine under Mahara 1.3.6 and demo.mahara.org.

Michael used the usual method for blog posts: Attach image and then choose the URL. In a follow-up post he says that external pictures are not displayed either.

Hi,

The problem is solved. Under Admin -> Configure Site -> Security Settings, the checkbox for "Disable external resources in user HTML" was ticked.

All good now.
