Hello Emilie,

Have you checked that you use the same token that you have on your phone also on your accounts page under "mobile upload token"? This setting needs to be enabled first altogether. Once you have uploaded something, the token changes both on MaharaDroid and Mahara automatically and you don't have to worry about it anymore. However, the first time you need to put the same token into both places.

Yes, i use the same token on my  phone and under "mobile upload token".  I checked with several accounts without success.. :-(

Hi Emilie,

I did not have a problem uploading anything to the Mahoodle account that you had set up for me. You should not have to go to the mobileupload.php page.

If you tried to upload a video, could you please try with a smaller file?

I am very confused...
Today, i watched again your demo on http://code.google.com/p/maharadroid/ and i realized today that i should call the url http://..../artefact/file/mobileupload.php...   I was calling my mahara url like for PortfolioUp... with PortfolioUp we don't have to call the mobileupload.php directly

Hello Emilie,

No worries. MaharaDroid uses the built-in functionality for the mobile upload. That's why we have it in Mahara. Unfortunately, PortfolioUp does not use that same page but does something very similar (I don't know why). Hopefully, they will use the built-in functionality in the future instead of requiring a plugin that does essentially the same thing.

HI:

I was getting the same message as Emilie (oops, hadn't watched Kristina's video), however, once I had the right url, I am now getting the message that the file can not be saved when uploading, even though it is saving to MaharaDroid.

I am a newbie to the android scene so will keep investigating my settings.  It is also a new phone so android 4.0.3 which might make a difference?

...or not.  I figured out my problem.  I had enabled clamscan on Mahara and it was not working due to a permissioins issue, therefore the upload from the phone could not complete.  Works fine now.  Excellent tool.  Thanks to all involved.  That is 1.5.2 and Android 4.0.3.

Thanks for reporting your solution to your problem. Alan is working on MaharaDroid 2.0 which will have exciting new features. I don't know yet when it'll be out, but we'll certainly announce it and let you know.

Where do i get the token to add to my mobile app so i can access my site from my mobile device?

Hi Jeremy,

You need to enable mobile uploads on your Mahara site first under "Site options". Then you set the token on your phone and enter the same token in your user settings (#12 in the screenshot at http://manual.mahara.org/en/1.6/account/account_settings.html#general-account-options ). The video on the MaharaDroid site http://code.google.com/p/maharadroid/ also shows where it needs to go.
