Hi there,

Could anyone point to me where I can find some solid documentation? Looks like it's lacking on a lot of areas and so we can't learn the application as quickly as we can.

If there is better documentation, I think more people would be able to contribute to the application Cry

Hi Jerry,

What kind of documentation are you looking for? (user guide, administration, development?)

The user guide is on the wiki here:

Cheers,

Francois

Hi Francois

The wikis are lacking in a lot of information or at least not much there I'm afraid.

Also, it would be nice to have a development manual/docs to get me started in understanding the key areas.

Hello Jerry,

You may also want to check out the various Mahara tutorials that are on the web and were created by individual institutions. A short list of longer tutorials is available at http://wiki.mahara.org/User_Guide/Tutorials_about_Mahara There are also quite a number of YouTube videos around. These tutorials are a great resource.

We are aware that the documentation is not up to date in a number of places and are about to start re-doing it. I'm not quite there yet due to some other committments. My plan is to take the existing documentation, which basically covers Mahara 1.2 and Mahara 1.3 and put them into the format that is going to be our documentation and then start on Mahara 1.4 by taking existing documentation that is already relevant and adding on to that with the new / changed things in 1.4.

Cheers

Kristina
