Views on Home Page
31 March 2011, 19:58
Greetings all,
Is anyone working on making views available on the home page, logged out or in? As far back as 2009 Stephen C. had posted on something similar. (http://mahara.org/interaction/forum/topic.php?id=863)
I'm no coder but would really like to have the ability to put recent public artifacts on the home page to draw viewers into the site.
Thanks & cheers,

Hi Allen
It is possible as Site Administration > Configure Site > Edit Site pages to change the content of the home page for logged in and logged out users.
It is also possible for each user to create a dashboard view that shows on their home page.
What you are asking for is a combination of these a Dashboard page that shows for the entire site , I don't think this has been thought about but probably would be easy to combine these if it is thought a good idea.

Here's a pretty simple example of a "rabbit garden" for the public on our Mahara site:

Hello,
How have you added the image? Did you copy the link to the image from your files area? If so, that doesn't work because the permissions will not be set correctly. It will be best if your image sits online outside of Mahara unless you make it publicly accessible on another page.
Cheers
