New Forum Requests

Hi everyone,
I'm aware that with these new forums we have basically eliminated a whole bunch of forums that were on the old site, so here you can request new forums to be made.
For things like languages, I'm not sure what the best way is to do this, but it might make sense for us to have "language speaking" groups (e.g. German Speaking), and have forums in those groups.
Any thoughts?

Why not beginning with a "Translation" forum, and, when enough people of other language communities drop in, create then the appropriate forum(s)?

That is a good idea - the forum could have a sticky post to say which languages have their own groups.

How about a Mahoodle forum? I have put one of these in my own group for Mahoodle but I fear users may never find it.

I added the forum and made you a moderator. I linked the description to the moodle/mahara group too. Unless you think the group isn't needed any more?

Hi. I am kind of new to the Mahara comunity. What would be helpful for me would be a forum on Mahara best practices. Any one else interested?

Hi Chip - the Pedagogy forum is a close match for what you're after - it's for discussing eportfolio use in learning and teaching, which can of course include Mahara best practices
