When I log in I see five 'Latest Views'. How can I increase the number? Is there any setting can be added to change it?
Also what does 'Latest Views' mean actually?
How can I add a section where display latest updates?

As long as I remember, you can't. Maybe a feature request in the bug tracker. But personally I prefere not to have too much information on the front page.

The latest views you updated or created

This is it. The main page or Dashboard can't be too much edited at present

Hello,
I see any view that I have access to under "Latest views", i.e. also views from others.
Cheers

Hello Shin,
I have 5 views, but can show up to 100. When you go into the edit mode of the Dashboard view, and then to click on the configure icon for the latest views block, you can set the number of views you want to see.

Hi Kristina,
Thank you. I did not know that functions.
What actually do the latest view show? Latest views by any member or by me?

Hi Shinichi,
You also see views from others that you have access to.
Cheers

Hi,
In case you're interested I made a similar content block called 'Latest Images' which shows an image gallery of latest images shared on public pages.
If anyone wants to try it out please send me a message.

Hello Mike,
I am interested in all Mahara contributions. I would be very hapy to have a look at your block. Will you make accessible by the community or is it a in-house only development ?

Hi Dajan,
I'm putting anything I develop up on the Mahara GIT repository. It's all open to be shared and improved by other users.
You will find the 'latest images' block here:
http://gitorious.org/~mfkelly/mahara/mfkellys-mahara/commits/latestpublicimages
You can download the tar.gz file, unarchive it, and look for the 'public images' folder. You can copy that to your Mahara installation. Please note it doesn't come with any guarantees! Please install in a test environment. Any feedback is appreciated.
By the way, I am developing for Mahara 1.4. I haven't tested any of my stuff in 1.3.
Best wishes,
Mike
