I was wondering if someone has successfully embedded MyPlick.com embed code into a blog post or html block type or other.

I would be interested in any guidance that could help this work or what is being stripped from the code in the process of adding it to mahara.

Thanks,

chris

I added a view to the community as an example. Should be 10 slides. You can what I am adding my clicking Solve Equations.

Hi Chris,

The embed function itself seems to work as you can see the MyPlick box. If the embed code had been stripped (because it was not allowed), you wouldn't see anything. As the embed code is a <div>, it works.

That the slides don't show up is not a Mahara problem as far as I think. I could also not get slides on MyPlick to work quickly. Maybe their service is a bit slow?

the & in the <param name="FlashVars" value="plickName=sdfsfsf&t=t&s=v" />

get changed to &amp;

Also the <embed> </embed> gets stripped.

Is that a function of TinyMCE or HtmlPurifier?

Thanks,

chris

Hello Chris,

If the embed gets stripped then you are using Mahara 1.2. the embed code only works in Mahara 1.3+

It always helps to know which Mahara version you are using. Wink

Hello Chris,

Then it is strange that the code gets stripped because as you can see in your view here on mahara.org, the embed works just fine. As I wrote earlier, only the slides are not loading. That may be a different problem, I'd say.

Does somebody with embed experience have had a similar problem before?

Cheers

Kristina
