Hello,

We received the following email. In my reply, I pointed her to the LEAP2A web site because it would be good to have that standard developed further.

Cheers

Kristina

Greetings from ePortfolio California! (Please point me in the right direction.
We would like to invite any/all developers interested in standards development
for ePortfolios. Please pass this email on to interested vendors - and also
participants!!!! Thank you!)

On Monday, October 11, 2010, in continuing our mission of partner outreach and
collaboration, the California Virtual Campus (CVC) and ePortfolio California is
hosting the ePortfolio California Summit 2010, a series of working meetings
dedicated to standards development, implementation, and interoperability of
academic electronic portfolios. These sessions will be held in conjunction with
the Postsecondary Electronic Standards Council’s PESC Fall 2010 Data Summit,
October 11 – 12, in Los Angeles, CA.

This joint venture helps to ensure that educators and administrators have an
opportunity to work with PESC to meet the needs of the California community,
especially as they begin to build an ePortfolio XML data standard.

The luncheon keynote address will be delivered by Patrick Perry, Vice
Chancellor of Technology, Research and Information Systems (TRIS) for the
California Community Colleges Chancellor’s Office.

ePortfolio California Summit 2010 is a perfect opportunity to showcase your
organization's support for electronic portfolio standards and the higher
education community. We are proud to be at the forefront of current discussions
relating to common data standards and data systems with PESC.

Your sponsorship will allow the CVC to continue partnering with organizations
such as PESC to host events that draw administrators and decision-makers. We
would be proud to include your organization as a leading sponsor of this
special event.

Some of the benefits of sponsoring this event include prominent positioning of
your logo and web site in all ePortfolio California Summit marketing materials
and press releases, as well as displaying your brochures and marketing
materials at the ePortfolio California Focus Summit registration table.

To learn more about the sponsorship opportunities available for the ePortfolio
California Summit 2010, please contact Patricia Donohue, Project Manager,
[email protected] or 530.228.2446.

Thank you for yoru time and consideration.
