How to set up LDAP authentication in Mahara?

Here is how my (new) configuration is:

Contexts *: cn=kpp,ou=Projects,dc=cti,dc=gr

User type *: default

User attribute *: member (but also have tried with uid)

Seach Subcontexts: Yes/No (tried with both)

Hi Stefanos,

The Mahara ldap authentication plugin doesn't provide any filtering options, other than the context. And that probably wouldn't be usable for groups, unless you put members of different groups in different LDAP contexts.

Patrick Pollet's LDAP sync plugin ( https://github.com/patrickpollet/mahara_ldap_sync ) may help you get what you want. It provides a user filter option, to say that only users who match a particular LDAP filter will get accounts automatically provisioned. We're also planning to integrate this into Mahara core in 1.8: https://bugs.launchpad.net/mahara/+bug/1180622
